In the Arms of My Beloved

A Journey Through Breast Cancer

Hope, Courage, and Strength
We often see these three words associated with the journey of someone who survives cancer. But where do we find strength when we have never felt so weak? Where do we find courage to face a challenge of this magnitude?  Where does hope spring from and how do we possess it?

Turning to the God she loves, Sandra found these answers in Him. This story recounts the cries of a desperate daughter seeking to find comfort, healing, and truth from her Heavenly Father. Follow her journey as she learns to trust and lean on God as she walks the road to victory.

"There is no voice so compelling as the voice of experience. Sandra’s story as a breast cancer survivor should be read by every woman facing this daunting giant called ‘breast cancer.’ Sandra takes the reader through not only the practical steps of what will likely occur, but also through the range of emotional and spiritual seasons that come as part of the journey. In the Arms of My Beloved is a book I highly recommend not only for the cancer patient herself, but also for all those who love her."

"In candidly telling her story, Sandra Crawford shares valuable lessons we can all learn from, no matter what giants we face in life.  As a two-time cancer survivor, I could relate to Sandra’s epic journey of seeking and find the source of hope, strength and courage amidst the darkest of circumstances. "

Beyond the Cover...

In the Arms of My Beloved is the story of one woman’s journey through breast cancer.  As a Christian, Sandra knew of God’s promises but had yet to learn the depth of His love as He carried her through a battle for her life.

Sandra details her challenges as she confesses her fears and learns how to courageously fight the giant of cancer as a single woman, living alone.  As her body succumbs to the rigors of treatment, she develops spiritual muscles as the Lord strengthens her faith and trains her hands for war.  Just as a soldier endures boot camp, God teaches His children what it is to be part of His Kingdom, training them to combat every type of assault.  On her battlefield of breast cancer, Sandra shares practical lessons for ‘fellow’ soldiers to include in their arsenal.

The story touches on the transformation that not only occurs in the body, but the rollercoaster of emotions and battles within the soul and spirit.  As an independent woman, she learns how to lean on God and to trust in His ways, discovering that with God all things are possible.  Her blend of humor makes it an enjoyable yet poignant story of challenges and triumphs on the road called cancer, equipping not only the patient, but family and friends who want to lend a hand.

Weaved throughout the story of survival is the truth of God’s word that says He has plans for us, to prosper us, and not to harm us, to give us a hope and a future.  With renewed hope and purpose for her destiny, Sandra emerges with a strength that could only have come from the heart of a loving God.

At the end of the book, three appendixes contain helpful information for the patient and family and friends.

Appendix A lists a number of faith building prayers for different situations that arise, encouraging the patient and calling upon the power of God.

Appendix  B and C provide short, practical suggestions for survival, such as food ideas, hair care, exercise, body care etc., as well as ideas for family and friends who are desperate to help.

Book is soft cover, 6" x 9", approximately 200 pages
